Resolute is seeking a talented Project Accountant for full-time employment to be part of the finance team that provides accounting services for distressed businesses.
The primary function of the Project Accountant is to provide accounting back up to Asset Managers for distressed company projects.
· Verify vendor invoices for payment processing
· Input accounting data into accounting software programs and analysis
· Prepare deposits
· Process weekly check runs
· Process payroll and associated payroll tax reports
· Perform bank reconciliations
· Prepare budgets
· Prepare cash flow statements
· Prepare sales tax return statements
· Analyze existing business deficiencies to identify potential areas for improvements
· Review and understand trade vendor and public accounts with deficiencies and negotiate payments
· Prepare schedules and supporting documentation to outline various financial events in project company operations
· Analyze benefits for various project expenses
· Reconcile transactions in individual accounts to create supporting schedules for presentation to the Court
· Prepare financial statements from various supporting documentation including general ledgers, receipts, and expense logs
· Develop and implement financial plans for various company projects
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
· 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
· Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office Suite Programs
· Ability to grasp overall business issues as they relate to accounting requirements and to effectively react to and manage crisis accounting situations
· Exceptional communication, project management, and organization skills
· Ability to work effectively with other team members
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
