Resolute is proud to announce that Jessie Sheehan, CFE, Senior Managing Director, and Spencer Smith, Managing Director, have been named winners of The M&A Advisor’s 17th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards.
The Emerging Leaders Awards recognize accomplished professionals under 40 who are helping shape the future of dealmaking through leadership, innovation and meaningful contributions to their industries and communities. Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges based on professional achievement, leadership impact and community involvement.
Jessie brings more than a decade of experience in receiverships, restructuring and forensic accounting, with a focus on complex court-appointed and fiduciary matters. Since joining Resolute in 2014, she has advanced to Senior Managing Director and has supported receiverships, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and other distressed situations across a range of industries.
Spencer brings more than seven years of experience advising stakeholders in complex and distressed situations, including bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, receiverships, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, Article 9 sales and other special situations. His work also spans financial and economic analysis, transaction execution and expert reporting in complex litigation matters.
Jessie and Spencer will be formally recognized at the 2026 Leadership in Dealmaking Summit, taking place September 14–15, 2026, in New York City.
Their recognition reflects the depth of experience, leadership and hands-on execution they bring to Resolute’s clients and stakeholders in complex situations.
