Steve O’Neill

Steve specializes in assisting financially distressed companies in monetizing assets and representing entities purchasing assets from financially distressed enterprises. He has more than 35 years of legal experience in the areas of bankruptcy, business reorganizations, assignment for benefit of creditors (ABC), out-of-court workouts, and creditor and debtor’s rights. Steve has been one of the leading national experts ABCs for the last 20 years representing assignors, assignees, and buyers of assets. Steve’s most recent ABC s include Theranos, Imax, Allume, Hired, Gigster, Common Networks, Teradact, and Sutter Gold Mining.

Previously, Steve was partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, recognized as the Business Reorganization Law Firm of the Year in California in 2016. He was also distinguished as a Northern California Super Lawyer and Rated AV® by Martindale-Hubbell®. Steve is a graduate of University of California, Hastings College of the Law and UCLA.
