John is a career work-out professional and along with the Resolute team of experts, solve problems for their clients.
John Mitchell brings more than 20 years of experience in problem resolution, receivership, bankruptcy and corporate turnaround expertise to the firm. One of the founding principals of Resolute, John has been a court-appointed fiduciary of nearly $1.5B in assets and has managed nearly 350 matters in both State and Federal courts. His background includes extensive knowledge in asset recovery and disposition, forensic investigations and business operations and restructuring.
Prior to forming Resolute, John was the regional managing director at Douglas Wilson Companies. It was there that he was responsible for the management and execution of many court-appointed receiverships and bankruptcy projects for various operating companies, fraud and Ponzi schemes. Prior to this, he was a senior asset manager at U-Haul International, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of loan and REO portfolio management.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Arizona. He is a member Turnaround Management Association and past treasurer of the California Receiver’s Forum and California Bankruptcy Forum.
